DMCC Launches Sustainability Hub to Empower Members in ESG Journey

The Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), a free zone authority in Dubai, has launched the DMCC Sustainability Hub, a new initiative designed to support its 24,000 member companies in their environmental, social, and governance (ESG) endeavors. This hub aims to foster a collaborative environment for knowledge sharing and innovation, ultimately propelling positive change on a global scale.

The DMCC envisions the hub becoming a regional leader in the ESG sphere, replicating the success of its other industry-specific ecosystems. By leveraging the expertise of its members, the hub will create a network of dedicated sustainability leaders within the DMCC community.

Founding members like General Mills, Monjasa, Shell & Vivo Lubricants, Motif Interiors, and Evolvin' Women demonstrate the initiative's diverse appeal and its potential for impactful collaboration.

The hub offers a comprehensive suite of benefits to its members, empowering them to advance their ESG journeys. Members will gain access to a program of meetings, networking events, and mentorship opportunities, fostering knowledge exchange and collaboration. Additionally, the hub will connect members with ESG-focused venture capital companies and accelerator programs, facilitating access to crucial funding for sustainable projects.

A unique feature of the DMCC Sustainability Hub is its bespoke loyalty program. Members can earn points through their engagement with the hub's initiatives, which can then be redeemed for valuable business services. These services include expedited license renewals, visa applications, and access to dedicated account support teams within the DMCC, ultimately accelerating their commercial growth.

Furthermore, members will benefit from collaboration with C3, a social enterprise dedicated to sustainability. Through C3, members will have access to training and events led by local and regional sustainability experts. Additionally, they will gain access to the C3 Impact Hub, an online platform serving as an open resource for inspiration and collaboration on purpose-driven initiatives.

The launch of the DMCC Sustainability Hub signifies the organization's commitment to driving positive change within its member base and beyond. By fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and access to resources, the hub empowers its members to become leaders in the ESG landscape, contributing to a more sustainable future.
