Canon, a global leader in imaging solutions, has joined forces with the Dubai Business Women Council (DBWC) to launch a pioneering initiative called "Dubai Clicks for Change." This program aims to empower women in the Emirate by providing them with the tools and support they need to excel in the dynamic fields of photography and printing.
The initiative aligns with Canon's commitment to diversity and inclusion, specifically focusing on fostering a more balanced workplace within the creative industries. Dubai Clicks for Change offers a comprehensive program encompassing workshops, mentorship opportunities, and networking events.
The program is divided into three core modules: photography, printing, and content creation. Each module will be led by industry experts, providing participants with a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical experience. Award-winning Emirati filmmaker Nahla Al Fahad will head the content creation module, equipping participants with the skills required to produce captivating video content. Renowned photographer Jorge Ferrari, a Canon Ambassador, will lead the photography module, delving into the fundamentals of storytelling through the lens. Finally, Ayman Ali, Marketing Director at Canon Middle East, will lead the printing module, offering insights into various printing applications for creative endeavors.
Participants will have the flexibility to choose one or more modules based on their interests. Each module will consist of four sessions, with two dedicated to theory and the remaining two focused on practical application. During the practical sessions, participants will have the opportunity to work with Canon equipment under the supervision of experienced professionals. This hands-on approach ensures participants not only grasp the concepts but also gain the confidence to translate them into their own creative pursuits.
Beyond technical expertise, Dubai Clicks for Change recognizes the importance of fostering connections and building a supportive network.
