Dubai Streamlines Work and Residency Visa Process with New Platform

Dubai has significantly reduced the time and complexity involved in obtaining work and residency visas with the launch of the "Work Bundle" platform. This initiative aims to attract skilled individuals and businesses to the emirate by streamlining the application process.

Previously, acquiring work permits and residency visas typically took around 30 days and involved multiple visits to service centers, submitting extensive paperwork (up to 16 documents), and navigating various administrative procedures.

The "Work Bundle" platform dramatically cuts processing times to a mere five days. This expedited process is achieved by integrating various government departments involved in visa applications, allowing for a more efficient flow of information and approvals. Additionally, the number of required documents has been slashed to just five, significantly reducing the administrative burden for both applicants and authorities.

Furthermore, the platform eliminates the need for frequent visits to service centers. Applicants can now submit their applications and receive updates entirely online, with only two required visits necessary – one for initial biometric registration and another to collect the visa. This not only saves applicants valuable time and resources but also aligns with Dubai's vision of becoming a global leader in smart governance and digital transformation.

The launch of the "Work Bundle" platform is part of a broader set of initiatives undertaken by the Dubai government to enhance the emirate's attractiveness for businesses and talent. These initiatives aim to solidify Dubai's position as a global hub for innovation, entrepreneurship, and investment.

By simplifying and expediting the visa process, Dubai hopes to attract a wider pool of skilled professionals and entrepreneurs, fostering economic growth and diversification. This, in turn, will contribute to Dubai's continued development as a leading international business and cultural center.
