Emirates, the global airline, and Tourism Ireland, the national tourism development agency, have joined forces to attract more international visitors to the Emerald Isle. This strategic collaboration will leverage Emirates' extensive global network and Tourism Ireland's marketing expertise to promote Ireland as a premier tourist destination.
The partnership, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), outlines joint initiatives aimed at increasing inbound tourism from key markets within Emirates' network. These markets include the United Arab Emirates, Australia, and New Zealand, which represent significant potential for growth in Irish tourism.
"Through this new partnership with Tourism Ireland, we aim to play an active role in promoting tourism growth to the island of Ireland," said Thierry Aucoc, Emirates Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations, Europe. "With our strong network and track record of working with partners through trade and consumer initiatives, we're well-positioned to support Ireland's tourism ambitions."
The collaboration will explore various avenues to attract travelers, including the development of joint marketing campaigns. These campaigns will leverage the strengths of both entities, showcasing Ireland's unique cultural heritage, breathtaking landscapes, and vibrant cities through targeted messaging and promotions across various channels.
Emirates' extensive network, spanning over 140 destinations, will play a crucial role in connecting potential visitors from key markets to Ireland. The airline currently operates a double daily service between Dubai and Dublin, offering convenient and comfortable travel options for tourists.
"This new partnership with Emirates is a very positive development for Irish tourism," said David Boyce, Head of Emerging Markets at Tourism Ireland. "Emirates is a world-class airline with a strong brand presence in key markets, and we look forward to working together to raise awareness of Ireland as a must-visit destination."
The collaboration is expected to have a significant impact on Ireland's tourism sector, contributing to increased visitor arrivals, economic growth, and job creation. By combining their resources and expertise, Emirates and Tourism Ireland aim to unlock the full potential of Ireland's tourism industry and welcome even more travelers to experience the magic of the Emerald Isle.
