Mother of the Nation Reviews Progress in Child and Motherhood Programs

Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, widely known as the "Mother of the Nation," visited the headquarters of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood in Abu Dhabi on March 7, 2024. She holds the prestigious titles of President of the General Women's Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, and President of the Council itself.

The visit served as an opportunity for Sheikha Fatima to assess the Council's achievements over the past two decades. Discussions centered on the Council's ongoing programs and initiatives designed to safeguard the well-being of mothers and children across the United Arab Emirates.

A key focus of the visit was the upcoming Fatima bint Mubarak Forum for Motherhood and Childhood. The Council presented its preparations for the forum's activities and events leading up to the official convening in October 2024. Sheikha Fatima placed particular emphasis on ensuring a comprehensive program that effectively addresses the mental health needs of mothers, children, adolescents, and families.

The Council also apprised Sheikha Fatima of its plans for Emirati Children's Day, which falls on March 15th. The theme for this year's celebration is "The Child's Right to Protection."
