Sharjah Mosques Thrum with Quranic Study During Ramadan

Mosques across Sharjah are experiencing a surge in activity during the holy month of Ramadan, transforming into vibrant centers for Quranic learning. The Sharjah Department of Islamic Affairs has announced a significant initiative, hosting a staggering 700 Quran memorization sessions throughout the emirate. This ambitious program caters to a diverse range of learners, attracting a remarkable 29,000 participants from all age groups.

The emphasis on Quranic education reflects Sharjah's deep commitment to Islamic tradition and cultural heritage. The department is actively working to expand these sessions to encompass all areas of the emirate, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to participate. Mosque imams play a central role in this initiative, leading the memorization sessions and making Quranic learning accessible to all segments of society.

This dedication extends beyond memorization. The department has designated 20 mosques throughout Sharjah specifically for Quran recitation correction sessions. Here, participants can refine their pronunciation and recitation techniques under the guidance of qualified instructors. This ensures not only the accurate memorization of the Quran but also a beautiful and well-articulated recitation, a core aspect of Islamic tradition.

Furthermore, ten mosques have been designated to host Quranic interpretation sessions. These sessions delve deeper into the meaning and context of the Quranic verses, fostering a richer understanding of the holy text. This layered approach to Quranic learning caters to the needs of all participants, from those seeking to memorize the Quran to those who wish to gain a deeper appreciation for its message.

The Sharjah Department of Islamic Affairs' initiative highlights the importance of Ramadan as a time for spiritual growth and development. By providing accessible and engaging Quranic learning opportunities, mosques in Sharjah are serving as beacons of Islamic knowledge and tradition, fostering a deeper connection between the community and the Quran during this sacred month.
