The Emirate of Abu Dhabi announced a significant investment in its citizens' well-being with the launch of a $953 million residential project. The initiative, named the Yas Canal project, is designed to provide high-quality housing specifically for UAE nationals residing in the capital city.
Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, authorized the project, which will deliver over a thousand villas upon completion in late 2027. The development will be situated on Al Raha Beach and span an impressive 1.8 square kilometers.
Officials emphasized the project's focus on Emirati families' needs. The Yas Canal project will feature a variety of three- to six-bedroom villas sprawled across plots ranging from 600 to 780 square meters. This will ensure ample space for residents to enjoy a comfortable lifestyle.
Furthermore, the project goes beyond just housing units. Recognizing the importance of a holistic community, the development will incorporate essential amenities such as three mosques, a school, and a gym. To cater to residents' shopping needs, a dedicated retail area exceeding 10,000 square meters is also included in the plans.
The Yas Canal project is being undertaken through a collaborative effort between various government entities. The Abu Dhabi Housing Authority will spearhead the project, working alongside the Abu Dhabi Centre for Projects and Infrastructure and the ICT Real Estate Development Company. This combined expertise will ensure the project's timely completion and adherence to the highest quality standards.
By launching this initiative, Abu Dhabi underscores its commitment to providing its citizens with a superior standard of living. The Yas Canal project is designed to foster a strong sense of community while promoting the Emirate's social stability and long-term development.
The project is expected to generate significant interest among UAE citizens seeking spacious and modern living spaces in Abu Dhabi. With its focus on creating a comprehensive and well-equipped community, the Yas Canal project is poised to be a major success story.
