In the wake of heavy rains that struck Dubai, the city's Community Development Authority (CDA) has launched a campaign to aid residents impacted by the downpour. The initiative, titled "Tadhamon," which translates to "solidarity" in Arabic, aims to channel community contributions towards those whose homes and properties sustained damage from the adverse weather.
This campaign aligns with the directives of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, who emphasized providing immediate assistance to affected residents. The CDA, a member of the Committee for Assisting Weather-Affected Citizens in Dubai established under Sheikh Hamdan's guidance, is seeking to mobilize various forms of support for the community.
"Tadhamon" leverages Dubai's innovative "Jood" digital platform, creating a streamlined avenue for donations. This user-friendly platform has already garnered a significant response from businesses and individuals eager to contribute to the relief effort. Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid, Director General of the CDA, highlighted the overwhelming community spirit, stating that the initiative reflects not only a means to repair physical damages but also the resilience of Dubai's society in confronting challenges.
Financial contributions made through "Jood" will directly benefit individuals registered with the CDA and those affiliated with charities and institutions participating on the platform. This ensures transparency and efficient distribution of funds to those in need.
The "Tadhamon" campaign serves as a testament to Dubai's commitment to community well-being. By fostering solidarity and harnessing the collective strength of its citizens, Dubai aims to swiftly help residents recover from the effects of the heavy rains. The initiative underscores Dubai's enduring spirit of cooperation and its unwavering support for its people during times of hardship.
