The Arab Union for International Exhibitions and Conferences (AUIEC) announced a two-pronged initiative to strengthen the exhibition sector in the Arab region. In a move aimed at recognizing and promoting excellence, AUIEC established the Best Exhibition Organiser Award. This annual award will honor organizations that consistently deliver exceptional exhibition experiences. Award criteria will focus on innovation, visitor satisfaction, and exhibitor success.
AUIEC's commitment to growth was further solidified by welcoming three new member countries:Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Oman. This expansion strengthens AUIEC's global network and influence, fostering greater collaboration and knowledge sharing within the Arab exhibition industry.
The announcement came during AUIEC's second periodic meeting for 2024, held at Sharjah's House of Wisdom. The meeting, chaired by AUIEC Chairman Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, saw the participation of board members and Secretary-General Mahmoud Youssef Al-Jarrah.
The Best Exhibition Organiser Award is expected to raise the bar for quality and professionalism within the Arab exhibition industry. By recognizing outstanding achievement, the award will incentivize organizers to continuously innovate and improve their offerings. This will benefit all stakeholders, from exhibitors seeking a platform to showcase their products and services to visitors searching for valuable experiences.
The inclusion of Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Oman as AUIEC members represents a significant step towards regional integration within the exhibition sector. These countries bring a wealth of experience and resources to the table, contributing to a more dynamic and diverse AUIEC. The expanded membership is anticipated to lead to a wider range of offerings and a more robust exhibition calendar across the Arab world.
AUIEC also discussed a series of action plans and proposals for future implementation during the meeting. These plans are expected to further solidify AUIEC's position as a leading force in promoting the exhibition industry as a driver of economic growth and development in the Arab region.
