JEDDAH — Saudia Group has significantly expanded its domestic flight network with the introduction of eight new daily services connecting Jeddah, Riyadh, and Dammam to Abha. This strategic move by the aviation conglomerate aims to bolster domestic tourism and aligns with the Saudi Tourism Authority's initiatives to promote Abha as a prime destination, particularly during the Aseer Season and Saudi Summer campaigns.
With this expansion, Saudia Group’s flagship carrier, Saudia, will now operate 19 daily flights to Abha, marking a substantial 35. 71% increase in its offerings. Similarly, its low-cost subsidiary, flyadeal, has enhanced its operations with 17 daily flights to the city, representing a 21. 42% growth.
This expansion is a cornerstone of Saudia Group’s commitment to Saudi Vision 2030, which prioritizes diversifying the Kingdom's tourism sector and attracting global visitors. By increasing flight frequencies and seat capacity, the group aims to meet the surging demand for domestic travel and elevate the overall tourism experience.
