GCC companies see $60.7 billion earnings in Q2

Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)-listed companies recorded a combined net profit of $60.7 billion during Q2 2024, reflecting a mixed performance across the region's key sectors. According to Kamco Invest, Saudi Arabia led the charge with $39.1 billion in net profits, while Dubai-listed companies saw a significant 30.9% increase to $6.7 billion. Despite the overall positive performance, sectors like energy and food & beverage experienced declines, particularly in Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Conversely, banking and telecom sectors demonstrated robust growth across most GCC markets.
