The Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB) has announced an unprecedented surge in entries for the 11th edition of the Sharjah Government Communication Award (SGCA). This year's competition attracted over 3,800 submissions from 44 countries, marking a 230% increase from the previous year.

The SGCA, which aims to recognize excellence in government communication, saw the highest participation from Egypt, followed by significant entries from Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Bahrain, Lebanon, Kuwait, Nigeria, Oman, and Sudan. The "Best Communication and Media Content" category led with 204 entries, while the "Best Communication and Humanitarian Practices Supporting Social Responsibility" category garnered 169 submissions. A new category, "Best Purposeful Digital Content Creator," also saw substantial interest, particularly in its two age-specific sub-awards for participants under and over 18 years old.

His Excellency Tariq Saeed Allay, Director General of SGMB, highlighted the award's growing prestige and its role in elevating the communication industry both regionally and globally. The award includes 22 categories, 13 of which are open for direct submissions, allowing a wide range of participants to showcase their expertise.

The SGCA continues to set new benchmarks, reflecting its significant role in promoting and recognizing excellence in government communication worldwide.
