UAE and France Forge Strategic Partnership in Judo Training and Development

A new partnership between the UAE Judo Federation and the French Judo Federation is set to elevate the sport within both countries through a comprehensive agreement focused on training and development. This collaboration, formalized in Abu Dhabi, aims to enhance the technical and coaching standards in the UAE by leveraging France's extensive expertise in judo.

The agreement includes provisions for joint training camps, exchange programs, and collaborative projects designed to improve the skills of athletes and coaches. France, renowned for its strong judo tradition, will play a crucial role in mentoring Emirati coaches and athletes, particularly as the UAE looks to strengthen its presence in international competitions, including the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympics.

Both federations have expressed optimism about the long-term benefits of this partnership, which will not only boost the sport domestically but also enhance the global standing of judo as a discipline rooted in respect, discipline, and mutual benefit.

The UAE's commitment to promoting judo aligns with its broader goals of fostering sports development and cultural exchange. This partnership with France, a nation with a deep-rooted judo heritage, marks a significant step forward in these efforts.
