UAE President Emphasizes Support for Emirati Students Abroad

During his state visit to the Republic of Korea, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan highlighted the importance of supporting Emirati students studying abroad. He met with Emirati students at Korean universities, discussing their academic specializations and experiences. This meeting underscored the UAE's commitment to enhancing educational opportunities for its citizens overseas and fostering a global perspective among its youth.

The 17th Forum of UAE Ambassadors and Representatives of Missions Abroad, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC), further emphasized this commitment. Held under the theme "The United Arab Emirates, a Bright Present and a Promising Future," the forum aimed to align the efforts of UAE embassies worldwide with the country's strategic objectives. Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Education, highlighted the forum's role in promoting the UAE's educational strategy and fostering cooperation between the Ministry of Education and UAE embassies to better serve Emirati students abroad.

Additionally, the forum addressed various topics related to politics, economics, innovation, education, culture, science and technology, and climate action. Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, noted the crucial role of UAE embassies in opening new markets for Emirati investments and doubling foreign trade and exports through comprehensive economic partnership agreements.

This coordinated effort aligns with the UAE's broader goals of enhancing national identity among Emiratis studying abroad and promoting cultural exchange. Omran Anwar Sharaf, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for Advanced Science and Technology, emphasized the importance of these initiatives in discussing the country's strategic direction and foreign policy during the forum.
