Largest-ever Intersec Saudi Arabia Opens, Welcoming Global Security Leaders

The highly anticipated sixth edition of Intersec Saudi Arabia begins today at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center (RICEC), setting a record for participation with over 17,000 attendees expected throughout the three-day event. Featuring more than 350 exhibitors from 27 countries, this year’s event stands as the largest edition since its inception, covering an expanded exhibition space of 23,000 square meters across five halls and an outdoor showcase.

Organized by 1st Arabia and licensed by Messe Frankfurt, the exhibition is held in partnership with the Saudi Ministry of Interior and the General Directorate for Civil Defense. As the foremost trade fair in Saudi Arabia focused on security, safety, and fire protection, Intersec has drawn substantial interest from both local and international players. Saudi companies comprise 29% of the exhibitors, and prominent international pavilions representing China, the UK, France, and the Czech Republic further highlight the event’s global appeal.

Two pivotal summits will dominate the agenda at Intersec Saudi Arabia 2024, namely the Future Security and Safety Summit and the Fire Protection and Technology Summit. Both summits will address urgent challenges and emerging trends, featuring topics like artificial intelligence in security and automation for fire suppression. Speakers from across the globe are set to provide insights into how industries and governments can stay ahead of evolving threats, with a strong focus on Saudi Arabia’s growing demand for advanced security solutions.

The event’s organizers, including Messe Frankfurt Middle East, have placed a significant emphasis on facilitating professional networking opportunities, ensuring attendees gain valuable educational experiences. As a key feature, the Premium Club offers exclusive meetings between top buyers and exhibitors, creating an efficient, relationship-driven environment away from the main exhibition floor.

This year, the conference program has expanded to reflect the shifting priorities within the security and safety sectors. Discussions will delve into AI’s transformative impact, international security cooperation, and climate-related challenges in fire management. Additionally, the robotics and automation technologies showcased at the Fire Protection Summit demonstrate the Kingdom's readiness to adopt cutting-edge solutions that are shaping the global security industry.

Riham Sedik, the show manager for Intersec Saudi Arabia, emphasized that the event continues to grow in significance, stating that the collaboration between local and international experts ensures the event remains an essential platform for knowledge exchange. By focusing on real-world solutions to pressing security issues, Intersec Saudi Arabia positions itself as a critical player in the regional security landscape.
