UAE Team Achieves Historic Silver Medal at First Global Challenge 2024

The UAE marked a significant milestone in its push toward technological innovation and STEM leadership by securing a silver medal at the 2024 First Global Challenge (FGC), held in Athens, Greece. This international robotics competition, often referred to as the "Olympics of Robotics," drew participation from 193 countries, showcasing the brightest young minds in engineering and technology.

Held from September 26 to 29, the competition tested participants on designing and programming robots to solve real-world environmental challenges. Team UAE impressed on a global stage, coming second in the overall rankings and clinching multiple awards, a momentous achievement that highlights the nation's growing prominence in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
