UAE Participation in APEC Economic Leaders' Week Highlights Key Global Interests

Reem Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, represented the UAE at the 2024 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders' Week (AELW), held in Lima, Peru. The UAE’s involvement in this significant multilateral event reflects its commitment to strengthening its global economic ties and advancing sustainable trade policies within the APEC framework.

Al Hashimy, attending on behalf of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, played a crucial role in discussions centered around global economic recovery, digital trade, and sustainable development. APEC, a forum comprising 21 Pacific Rim countries, is a platform for discussing economic cooperation and addressing pressing challenges facing the region.
