Despite this progress, the overall unemployment rate among Saudi nationals rose to 7.8% during the same period, up from 7.1% in the second quarter.
The employment-to-population ratio for Saudi women also saw an uptick, reaching 31.3%, a 0.5 percentage point increase from the previous quarter.
Among young Saudi women aged 15 to 24, labor force participation grew by 1 percentage point to 18%, with the employment-to-population ratio rising to 13.6%.
Saudi men's labor force participation increased to 66.9%, a 0.6 percentage point rise from the previous quarter, with an employment-to-population ratio of 63.7%.
The overall labor force participation rate for both Saudis and non-Saudis reached 66.6% in the third quarter, reflecting a 0.4 percentage point increase from the second quarter.
These figures align with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 initiative, which aims to diversify the economy and increase employment opportunities for citizens, particularly women.
