The Passenger Operations Department has developed a specialized strategy to manage peak travel periods effectively. Central to this plan is the deployment of additional customs inspectors and the integration of advanced inspection devices to expedite procedures while maintaining stringent security protocols.
A notable feature of the enhanced measures is the introduction of the 'iDeclare' system. This innovative platform enables travelers to electronically declare goods, personal belongings, gifts, currencies, and cash amounts prior to arrival. By facilitating pre-arrival declarations, the system reduces customs processing time to under four minutes via the designated red path, significantly enhancing the passenger experience.
Dubai Customs has also announced the official working hours for its various centers during the Eid Al Fitr holiday to ensure uninterrupted services. Key centers, including Deira Wharfage, Dubai Creek Customs Center, Hamriya Port Customs Center, Jebel Ali Inspection Center, and TECOM, will operate around the clock. Conversely, Port Rashid Customer Service Center and Jebel Ali Customer Center will observe adjusted hours, resuming operations on specified dates and times. Centers such as Hatta Customs Center, Dubai Logistics City Customs Center, and Air Cargo Customs Centers at Dubai Cargo Village and Dubai Airport Free Zone will maintain 24/7 operations throughout the holiday period.
