The opening ceremony showcased cutting-edge technologies, including humanoid robots developed by Beijing Galbot Co., Ltd., equipped with AI-volunteer capabilities. These robots demonstrated tasks such as serving coffee and interacting with attendees, highlighting the rapid advancements in robotics and AI integration.
In his keynote address, Chinese Premier Li Qiang emphasized the importance of global cooperation in technological innovation amidst rising global instability and uncertainty. He urged countries to open their markets and collaborate to address common challenges, underscoring the necessity of globalization over unilateralism and protectionism.
The forum also serves as a platform for unveiling significant scientific achievements. The "Top 10 Scientific Advances of 2024 in China" were announced, recognizing breakthroughs that have contributed to the country's technological progress.
International participation remains robust, with notable foreign CEOs and industry leaders attending the forum. Executives from companies such as Qualcomm, Pfizer, and Siemens are present, reflecting the forum's role in fostering international business relations and investment opportunities.
