To facilitate smooth entry and enhance safety, the mosque has designated specific gates for different groups. Gate 9 on the south side and Gate 3 on the north side will be open during prayer times to accommodate worshippers, while Gate 6 is reserved exclusively for visitors. In anticipation of large congregations, additional gates—4, 7, and 8—will be activated to prevent overcrowding. The mosque has also expanded its parking facilities, offering over 2,000 spaces to serve both worshippers and visitors.
Visitors are welcome to explore the mosque during the following hours:
- Saturday to Thursday: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Friday: 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM
These extended hours aim to provide ample opportunity for guests to experience the mosque's serene atmosphere and architectural grandeur.
In line with its commitment to community engagement, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre has organized a series of events and services throughout Ramadan. One of the most anticipated traditions is the firing of the Iftar cannon, which signals the end of the daily fast. This practice, cherished by both residents and visitors, will take place daily at the mosque, preserving a time-honored custom that holds significant cultural value.
The mosque is also set to host nightly Taraweeh prayers, inviting worshippers to participate in extended evening prayers that are a hallmark of Ramadan observance. To accommodate the expected influx of attendees, the mosque has enlisted over 580 qualified volunteers. These volunteers, working alongside the mosque's staff, Emirates Red Crescent, and local authorities, will ensure that services are delivered efficiently and that all visitors can perform their religious duties with ease and reverence.
In addition to religious services, the mosque offers a range of cultural experiences designed to enrich visitors' understanding of Islamic heritage. Guided tours are available in multiple languages, providing insights into the mosque's architectural features and the significance of Ramadan in the Islamic faith.
