Abu Dhabi University Achieves Milestone with Over 4,000 Publications in Scopus Index

Abu Dhabi University has reached a significant academic milestone by surpassing 4,000 research publications indexed in the Scopus database. This achievement underscores the institution's dedication to high-impact research across various disciplines.

The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs at ADU has been instrumental in this accomplishment, reflecting the university's commitment to fostering a robust research environment. The publications span multiple fields, including engineering and technology, business, management and economics, health sciences, mathematics, and physical sciences.

ADU's research portfolio is distinguished not only by its volume but also by its quality and influence. Approximately 16.9% of these publications are ranked among the world's top 10% most cited, and 27.5% appear in journals classified within the top 10% by CiteScore metrics. Collectively, the university's research has amassed 77,445 citations, averaging 19.4 citations per publication, highlighting the substantial impact of its scholarly contributions.

The Field-Weighted Citation Impact for ADU stands at 2.55, exceeding global benchmarks and indicating the high relevance and quality of its research outputs. This metric reflects the university's effectiveness in producing research that is both widely recognized and frequently cited within the academic community.

International collaboration has been a cornerstone of ADU's research strategy. Approximately 67.6% of its publications result from partnerships with 2,471 institutions worldwide. Notable collaborations include esteemed universities such as Texas A&M University in the USA, the University of Oxford in the UK, and the University of Louisville in the USA. These partnerships have led to 2,336 co-authored publications, emphasizing ADU's role in fostering global academic networks and interdisciplinary research initiatives.

Professor Montasir Qasymeh, Associate Provost for Research, Innovation, and Academic Development at ADU, highlighted the university's dedication to advancing knowledge and addressing global challenges.
