The construction of these substations involved approximately 420,350 man-hours, adhering to stringent health and safety standards.

Complementing these efforts, DEWA also completed eight new 132 kV transmission substations during the same period, with a conversion capacity of 1,200 megavolt-amperes . This initiative included the installation of 89 kilometers of ground cable, further enhancing the efficiency of Dubai's transmission network. The project, valued at around $370 million, underscores DEWA's dedication to bolstering the emirate's energy infrastructure.

Al Tayer emphasized DEWA's achievements in operational efficiency, noting that in 2023, the authority recorded an electricity line loss of 2% and the lowest electricity Customer Minutes Lost at 1.06 minutes annually per customer. These figures reflect DEWA's focus on maintaining high standards of availability, reliability, and sustainability in its services.
