
The 'Prysmian E Path' initiative is designed to address the increasing demand for sustainable energy solutions by offering products that enhance energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions. OCI's participation in MEE 2025 highlights its commitment to aligning with international sustainability standards and supporting the region's energy diversification efforts.
OCI has identified 50 sustainable projects to be undertaken over the next three years, with dedicated green investments approved for 2023. These projects aim to contribute significantly to the ambitious targets set by the Prysmian Group: a 47% reduction in scope 1 and 2 emissions and a 28% reduction in scope 3 emissions by 2030, compared to the 2019 baseline. The long-term goals include achieving a 90% reduction in scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2035 and scope 3 emissions by 2050.
During the 'Sustainability Day' event, OCI's CEO, Cinzia Farisè, outlined the company's Environmental, Social, and Governance approach. Chief Operating Officer Muhannad Al Lawati detailed OCI's climate ambition and projects aimed at combating climate change. Chief Strategy Officer Giancarlo Esposito highlighted the company's social ambition, focusing on diversity and inclusion initiatives. The event also showcased OCI's 'Innovation for Sustainability' strategy, emphasizing the establishment of the Renewables Excellence Center in Oman, dedicated to solar, wind, and hydrogen technologies for the entire region.
