In collaboration with global technology leaders such as Amazon Web Services and esteemed educational institutions like the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance , Tamkeen has previously launched training programmes focusing on AI and ML. These partnerships have been instrumental in providing Bahraini nationals with access to world-class training and resources.
Ali Hasan, Executive Director of Programmes and Partnership Development at Tamkeen, emphasized the transformative potential of AI and ML technologies. He stated that integrating these technologies into human capital support initiatives is crucial for keeping pace with the evolving business landscape. Hasan expressed confidence that, with Tamkeen's support and the expertise of partners like AWS and BIBF, trainees will be well-prepared to harness the potential of AI and ML, making them valuable assets in both local and international job markets.
Since 2022, Tamkeen has facilitated over 1,500 training opportunities in various domains, including information technology, software engineering, data science, iOS applications development, 3D animation, and game development. These programmes have yielded successful outcomes, with 65% of graduates securing employment, receiving promotions, or starting their own businesses.
The new AI training initiative aligns with Tamkeen's 2024 strategic priorities, which focus on increasing economic participation through new employment opportunities, expanding career development options for the Bahraini workforce, and further developing the private sector by supporting enterprises and boosting productivity and technology adoption.
